Basic Job Description:
The head of facilities at RP Facilities oversees all aspects of facility operations. This role includes managing budgets, facility planning, and maintaining building systems. The head of facilities ensures that the facility operates smoothly and safely in accordance with its intended use.
- Create and monitor the facility’s budget.
- Schedule and manage routine maintenance for all building systems.
- Oversee safety and security while mitigating risks.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify facility issues.
- Manage contractors and ensure compliance with laws and safety standards.
- Handle long-range planning for future growth and renovations.
- Direct essential services, including reception, maintenance, and waste management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Project Management, Civil/Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Facilities Management, including at least five (5) years in a senior management role.
- Extensive knowledge of Facilities Management activities, with strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and negotiation skills; ability to effectively manage teams under challenging conditions.
- Professional certification, such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) from the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) or relevant credentials in facilities/project management.
